Visit Vancouver farmers market

With over 250 vendors selling a variety of fresh food, it is a community market is located in the corner of the Esther Short Park. It has grown to become the second largest market in the State of Washington. Every Saturday and Sunday, the pet-friendly market welcomes shoppers to shop for items, listen to music, sample fantastic food, stroll around or just relax in the nearby park.

Go for a dip in the fountain at Esther South Park

Esther Short Parks is one of the oldest public parks in the region. This gem in the heart of downtown Vancouver is a beautiful green urban space offering the residents an open area for outdoor activities. It features children’s playground, a historic slocum house, and a beautifully manicured rose garden. Every weekend, this park hosts a popular farmer’s market as well as other several concerts and events.

Walk among history at Clark county historical museum

This museum was established in 1917 and dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history and culture of Clark County. It features exhibitions showcasing the heritage of the county as well as other events throughout the year. Some of the community events here include Holiday Open House, Harvest Fun Day, and First Thursday Museum after Hours.

Appreciate nature at Vancouver Lake Park

Vancouver Lake Park is a 190-acre regional park stretching along the western shores of Lake Vancouver. It features a space with children’s play equipment and barbecue areas with awe-inspiring views of Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Hood on less cloudy days. It offers outdoor space for the community to enjoy a variety of activities including kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing, and picnicking.

Let the children loose in Salmon Creek Park

Bordering the Salmon Creek Greenway, this park is filled with a variety of wildlife and migratory waterfowl. It is green and presents an array of activities for both outdoor enthusiasts and children. You can walk, jog, run or bike as you admire the beautiful natural scenery. There are play equipment for children and picnic areas with barbecue tables.
